Wii Fit Plus

WOW! The new Wii Fit Plus is just so much fun. Both my husband and I have such fun "playing" the exercises. This new program offers both minutes you spend exercising information as well as calories burned during that period. It's a wonderful thing that after you finish an exercise you can switch users right there and the other player gets to try his or her luck, before moving on to other events. We get a good workout together or alone. We especially like the part when we laugh so hard at our misfortunes during the "games". At least we have a really fun time together. If you get a chance to try this new Fit Plus, do it, you won't regret it.

Healthy "Old" Age

We all strive to be healthier when we age, but mother nature has other plans for us. Doing some simple things now, as we begin the aging process, will help us achieve that healthy "old" age we look forward to.

Start by remembering that you cannot do the things you used to do at the same speed you used to do them. Slowing down a bit and enjoying each day is something that we have to work hard at. Our "golden" years shouldn't be plagued by stress or injuries. Eat right, exercise everyday and know that your body will respond to these easy to do steps. We all need to stop eating like we're 20 again. We need to stop trying to do extremely difficult exercises that put us at risk. If you're used to doing these things, bless you! Most of us can't keep up like we used to, but we can't give up either.

Have fun in your aging years. After all, we only get one life to live, so lets live it to the fullest.

Trouble in River City

Have you ever watched the Music Man and had this phrase stuck in your head? Well, as you can tell I have. I remember watching that movie and thinking, boy those people are sure moving quickly for old people. Maybe that's the key, dancing around! Keep yourself moving whether it be dancing, walking, running, or any other activity you like, just keep going. Don't let age catch up with you when you're not looking. It's a sneaky little fellow!
